Your past can be a hinderance to the glorious future that God has planned for you, if you allow it. You cannot afford to wallow in past defeats and allow those defeats to stop you from making progress. Remember that you an overcomer - 1 John 5:4; you are destined to win. Defeats don't define you. Rather turn them around into learning opportunities.
Likewise you cannot afford to let the celebration of past victories to cause stagnation in your life. Thank God for the successes that you have had in the past. However there is much more that God has in store for you. If you refuse to move past your past successes then your ability to win more battles in the future is compromised.
Apostle Paul set the example. He chose to keep forging ahead rather stay in the past - Php 3:13. He knew that greater things lay ahead that what he had already experienced. Likewise you must not stop pressing in and pressing on so that you can lay hold of that glorious future that God has planned for you. Forget those things that have happened in your past so that you can claim new victories.
Have an exceptional day!

Let Go of Your Past
According to 2 Co 5:17 if you are in Christ Jesus, you are a new creation; old things have passed away and all things have become new. This scripture refers to the rebirth that occurs once you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. You see God did not refurbish your spirit. Rather he gave you brand new spirit at the point of new birth. Your new spirit is united with Christ, it is one with Christ. As a result of this union with Christ, your new spirit is superior to your old spirit. Afterall you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus - Eph 2:6.
Your superior positioning comes with various benefits including the restoration of the blessing and your dominion. Another benefit of your new position is that the process of rebirth resulted in all the claims against you being wiped away. God essentially wiped away all your sins. This is what the phrase 'all things have become new' refers to. You have been given a clean slate. In God it is as though all the sins you committed before you became born again did not exist.
However for you to truly live in the manifestation of the freedom which you have now be given, you must let go of the past. You can learn from the mistakes of the past but you must not focus on the past. God made all things new so that you can be free of the past as you position yourself for your glorious future. Friend don't be limited by your past, rather invest today for your outstanding future. Your world is awaiting your manifestation - Rom 8:19.

Pay the price for your future
Elisha was willing to go the extra mile - 2 Ki 2:6. Even when Elijah asked him to stay behind he refused. You will have to do your part and fight in order to secure what God has set aside for you. There is no such thing as just waiting for it to fall into your laps.
Fulfilling your purpose will cost you something. You must be willing to pay the price to become who you were called to be. Elisha paid the price. It was eventually recorded that he received a double portion of the anointing on Elijah's life and went on to do great things for God. What will your story be? Pay the price now to secure a glorious future.

Position yourself for a successful future
Pro 22:2
The rich and poor have this in common,
The Lord is the maker of them all (NKJV)
According to scripture in Pro 22:2 God created both the rich and poor. You don't have to fail or to be poor. Friend, God created every man and woman with the capacity to succeed, excel and prosper. However you must do your part in order to walk in the fullness of God's plans and purpose for your life.
One of the things that you must discipline yourself to do is to set your mind consistent with God's expectations for you. Pro 23:7 says that as a man thinks so is he. You condition yourself to develop an image consistent with God's word by spending time in God's Word consistently. Let God's Word be your standard.
God's plans for you are for good and not evil, to bring you to a good end - Jer 29:11. God is committed to your success however you must develop a mindset consistent with God's plans for you. Make a commitment today to position yourself for a successful future.
