Steadfast Prayer

Col 4:2.

God expects us to be steadfast, consistent, perseverant, consistent, unwavering, and diligent in the place of prayer. As we pray we must be alert actively engaged in the prayer and have a thankful heart. This is the right way to show up in the place of prayer.

The breakthrough that we desire and the transformation that we week will manifest as we continue in prayer. You must learn to exercise your authority consistently in the place of prayer.

Effective Prayer

Acts 4:25.

In Acts 4:25 and beyond, the Bible lets us know that David understood the will of God. He was able to see into the future, and know God's plans and what was to happen concerning Jesus. This made His prayer life more effective.

It is important to know the will of God before praying. God's will is contained in His Word. Spend time in the Word of God before praying so that you pray out the will of God.

God's System of Reward

Mt 6:6.

There is a way to divinely position yourself for open rewards. The Bible charges us to ensure that we are not praying just to be seen. You see if we pray to be seen then our reward will stop at the admiration of men. But God wants to reward us much more than that.

So ensure that your motives for praying are pure and not self seeking. And God who sees you pray in secret will reward you so much that others will notice. This is how to position yourself for open reward.

Working out God's Plans

Pro 19:21.

Irrespective of the plans in a man's heart, God's purpose will prevail.

You and I have many plans. Unless these plans are aligned with the will of God they are bound to lead to failure. It is only God's plans that stand in the fullness of time. God's plans are accompanied by the provision of all that is needed for them to come to pass

So rather than work out your own plans, spend time in God's presence downloading His plans and understanding His purpose. Then work out His plans. One of the ways that you work out His plans is praying those plans into manifestation.

Agents of God's Plans

Luk 2:37.

Prophetess Anna was sold out to the plans of God. She dedicated her life to praying and fasting in the temple.

God desires such commitment and dedication from us. You see God placed us in charge of our planet by placing us in dominion over the earth. Before God can do anything on this earth, He requires a man or woman who will call on Him in the place of prayer. This allows Him to bring His will to pass on the earth.

It's time for you and I to take our place in prayer in order to birth the plans of God for the earth.

Take Your Rightful Place in Dominion

Mt 21:19.

In the beginning God created man to have dominion over the earth and all that is in it - Gen 1:28. God placed man in charge of this planet. Man gave up this right to dominion to the enemy when Adam committed the first sin. Thank God that Christ came up to restore us back to a right standing with God - Gal 3:13. We now have that right to dominion again.

Christ illustrated this to His disciples in Mt 21:19. We have the ability to shape our world through our words. So start creating your world consistent with the Word of God.

As we celebrate the birth of our Savior today, let's remember that He came not just for us to accept Him but also for us to live a victorious life on earth.

Thanksgiving, the Response to Faith

Col 2:7.

Paul's charge to the church was that they should become established in Christ, the Word. Once they do this, they will build faith. And faith will eventually lead to an overflow of Thanksgiving.

You see a man or woman standing in faith believes he/she has received. This is why Thanksgiving is the response to faith.

Let God win Your Battles

2 Ch 20:4.

King Jehosaphat was faced with a situation that seemed insurmountable. Those who were against him were much more than those on his side based on what he could see. But Jehosaphat knew something. He knew that if he went to God, he would know what to do in order to emerge victorious from this situation. Jehosaphat received instructions from God on what to do, and he obeyed God's instructions. And the Bible records that God fought the battle on his behalf. Jehosaphat won the battle because God showed up in His situation.

God wants to win our battles for us. But we must acknowledge Him, and seek His instructions. And as we follow His instructions, we will enjoy sweatless victories.

Friend of God

Gen 18:23.

Abraham had such a great relationship with God. This is evidenced by how he was able to approach God on behalf of others in Gen 18:23.

As the righteous we are part of God's family. It is our responsibility to develop our relationship with God. It is also expected of us to intercede on behalf of loved ones and pray them into the Kingdom. Abraham our father in the faith set the example for us to follow.

Trust in God

Mt 19:26.

Jesus was instructing His disciples to trust in God and not in natural abilities or relationships. Men on their own without God are limited. But when you factor in the unlimited power of God what seemed impossible is now possible.

Learn to take all situations to God. And the God of possibilities will cause those things to work out for your good by His power.

Time to Rest

Mk 6:46.

Jesus sent his disciples and went to pray. He needed to spend some time in retreat to recharge, refire and refill.

It is important for you and I to take time out of our schedules to rest in God's presence. There are many things that God intends to do in our lives but because we are so busy sometimes we miss out on hearing from Him or getting that refill of His anointing and power needed for the assignment ahead.

So take time and refill in order to be refired and recharged for the tasks ahead.

Learn to Thank God in All Things

Php 4:6.

Worry and anxiety are enemies of progress. They are an expression of doubt in God's ability to deliver you out of a situation. Paul encouraged the church to take their specific requests to God in the place of prayer and to top it off with Thanksgiving. Before that he told them to cast aside worry and anxiety. He did not say give thanks for all things but rather give thanks in all things. God is only the author of good; He is not the author of evil.

It takes a man or woman who has absolute faith in God to give praise and thanksgiving in the midst of the most challenging circumstances. Paul and Silas knew that God would deliver them. Acts 16:25. Jehoshaphat knew that God would win the victory for him and his people. 2 ch 20:21. Before feeding the 5000 men plus women and children, Jesus gave thanks knowing that the Father will provide.

In all these instances any anxiety was cast aside. Rather thanksgiving was offered unto the God with outstanding results following. You and I can have similarly great results but we must stand in the face of trials and offer thanksgiving to God in the midst of the situations.

Supernatural Language II - The Mysteries of God

1 Cor 14:2.

God has given us a supernatural language. After becoming born again the Holy Spirit came to dwell in us. However there is a subsequent in filling of the Holy Spirit that we each have a right to as children of God. The initial evidence of this is speaking in tongues.

When you speak in tongues you are speaking to God in a language that no man understands. You are praying out mysteries, things that you don't know of.

Agents of the Harvest

Isa 59:16.

God is always searching for someone to use. He gave us dominion on the earth. And in order for Him to carry out His will in earth He needs faithful laborers. However God will never force His will on men.

There is a great end time harvest to be reaped. Make yourself available in the place of prayer and partake in the harvest becoming a reality.

Nothing can stop you

Mk 11:23

Jesus said that if we would only believe and not doubt then when we speak to any mountain to move, it will move. We have the capacity for mountain moving faith. Any mountain that seeks to set itself against you and God's Word In your life will move in the face of unshakable faith based on the Word of God.

So speak to the mountains of problems now in faith, and watch them move out of the way. No obstacle can stop you if you are walking in faith.

Solution Providers

Jn 14:12.

When Jesus was leaving He said that He will leave the Holy Spirit with us. He did this to empower us. He went on to say in Jn 14:12 that we will do not just the works that He did, but greater works. Jesus has called us to do what He did i.e. heal the sick, raise the dead, multiply food, pay taxes supernaturally, turn water into wine, etc., and to do this to the ends of the earth.

Greater works here doesn't mean that we have a greater measure of the Spirit than Jesus because He received the spirit without measure but rather we are empowered by the Spirit to do not just as Christ did but when the occasion demands us to do more we will do as Christ would have done if He was here.

The gift of life that we have received enables us to do greater works - spiritual and material. It's time for us to see ourselves as solution providers and miracle workers, and to go forth and manifest. The time is now.

The Rain of God

Zec 10:1.

In this end times God intends to pour out a rain of the supernatural upon His people. This has been prophesied in the Word.

God wants to pour out His Spirit upon us like never before. You must desire this outpouring so that The Lord's will can be carried out on the earth.

As a believer you must remain in a place of prayer to usher in this rain. Through this rain God intends to grow His Kingdom on the earth.

God is able to beat your expectations

Acts 3:4-5.

God requires your seed of expectation in order for the supernatural to be manifested, whether you are ministering to others or receiving from God. The lame man expected money. This seed of expectation was enough for God to work with in order to birth something far greater - his healing. According to Eph 3:20, God is able to beat our expectations but it starts with a seed.

The Word and the Power

Isa 53:1.

The Word must be the final authority in your life. According to the book of the John, in the beginning the Word was present. In the book of Genesis this is evident; God created this world by the Word. Throughout the OT the prophets of God spoke about the Coming Messiah. Isaiah in Is 53:1 spoke about these prophecies challenging the people on believing the word that God sent through them accompanied by His power.

When God speaks it should be final in our lives. And when it is and we walk in His Word, His power which backs up that Word is evident.

Supernatural Language

1 Cor 14:2.

When you speak in tongues you are speaking to God in a language beyond the understanding of men; you are speaking mysteries by the power of the Holy Spirit.

There are things that we do not know of. But by the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to pray those things out in tongues.

Use Your Words to Create Your World

Gen 1:3.

Words are primarily meant for creation not communication. Communication occurs through words but we must not lose sight of the primary use of words.

In the chapter 1 of the book of Genesis, God illustrated the creative power of Words. He spoke the world into existence. God created us in His own image therefore His intent is that we be co-creators.

It's time that we learn the power of words. Avoid the careless use of words. You must learn to create by your words. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; choose. Deut 30:19. Pro 18:21.

A Life Full of Power

Luk 4:14.

God intends that all of His children will live by His power. The Bible says in Luk 4:14 that Jesus returned in the power of the spirit, and news of Him spread far and wide.

Jesus had just spent time consecrated in the presence of God. He was recharged and refired so much so that others around Him noticed the difference.

The power of God must be so evident in us that others can see it based on our manifestations. This is what it means to live supernaturally. However it takes consecration, prayer, fasting and spending time in God's Word to generate such power.

Impartation for Elevation

Nov 22, 2012.
Deut 34:9.

Before Moses died he laid hands on Joshua. The Bible records that Joshua received the spirit of wisdom by this Impartation. You see God gives grace/anointing to men and women according to their assignments on earth. God also designed it so that this grace can be imparted. One of the ways this grace can be imparted is by the laying of hands. You can receive an Impartation of the anointing on another's life by the laying of hands.

In order to advance in life, career, and ministry there will be many times when an Impartation is necessary for the next level. You must learn to honor and respect the anointings that you require for your next level. This will pave the way for Impartation.

Top 5 Ways to Excel Supernaturally In the Workplace

1. Prioritize Rightly.
Mt 6:33.
God and His Kingdom must have their rightful place in your life.

2. Meditate on the Word of God.
Jos 1:8. Psa 1:2.
Your ways need to be aligned with God's ways so that you can prosper.

3. Renew your mind.
Rom 12:2.
Let God's Word be your standard.

4. Be committed to Excellence.
Dan 5:12. Dan 9:2.
God set an example for us in creation by not cutting corners.
Excellence is not cutting corners, being late, clicking in/out (9 to 5), etc.
Excellence is dressing/speaking well, punctual, going above and beyond, etc.

5. Factor in the Grace of God.
1 Cor 15:10. 2 Cor 12:9.
Grace is not just unmerited favor; it is God's ability made available to you.
Don't toil, ride on the grace of God. Psa 127:2.

As you start to focus on these 5 things, you will excel supernaturally in your workplace.

There are many more things that are required to succeed. This list is just the beginning. Let the discussions start.

The Word is the source of Wisdom

Psa 51:6.

"Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom." NKJV.

God desires that you place the His Word, which is the truth, in your inner man, i.e. in your spirit. You do this by reading, hearing, and meditating on the Word of God until you get to the point of revelation.

Then when you face a situation, God will stir up wisdom based on the planted Word in your spirit man. Therefore your manifestation of wisdom is determined by the amount of God's Word that you have deposited in your spirit.

So plant the Word in your heart and you will walk in wisdom at the appointed time.

Revelation, the Path to Promotion

Eph 1:17.

It is time to stop being grounded by the wrong attitude to the Word, tradition, and mental assent (religion), and to be elevated by revelation.

Revelation of God's Word sets you free Jn 8:32. When you have revelation of God's Word in a particular area eg health, finances, victory, etc. you own it. You can no longer be held back in that area of your life.

In order to live a supernatural life with signs and wonders in evidence (outstanding results) you must walk in revelation.

Your Supernatural Capacity to Love

1 Jn 4:19.

You are supernaturally loved by God. Once you have a revelation of God's love for you, you will love Him. Because He loved you first He gave His only Son so that you can be redeemed. Once you identify with Christ You have the supernatural capacity to love Him and to love others.

So step out and walk in love, you have what it takes. Rom 5:5.

God Loves You

Mt 7:11.

God cares for you affectionately and watchfully. His love for you can't be comprehended naturally. If natural man can care for his children so much that he gives them gifts. How much more will God give us the good things that we ask for. He loves us so much that He only gives us what is good for us.

As a child of God, your job is to trust God and cast your cares. Trust God to provide for you supernaturally.

Choose Life not Death

Rom 8:6.

If you are God-inside minded and conscious of the life of God inside you then it will reflect is your words and actions. There will be no room for carnality.

When you are carnally minded then your results will tend to death, corruption and in the direction of the curse Deut 30:19. This is why many lives appear to be stagnant devoid of progress.

It is God's desire that you enjoy supernatural victories consistently but you must put off carnality.

Lasting Success

Allow God to lead you into lasting success. Pro 16:1-3.

Pro 16:1-3 The preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the spirits. Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established.

There is a limit to how much planning you can do. Everyone can identify with this. Recall when you tried planning for an event or for an upcoming situation. Did you try to make a list of all the different outcomes or situations? Were you able to identify every single scenario? If you have never done this, you can try this scenario now. You will find out that there is a limit to your reasoning ability. This is because you cannot possibly know everything.

Even when you bring together a large group of people for this exercise the group is still limited in its ability to know everything. In fact there is a critical number of people. Beyond this number, the effectiveness of the group begins to diminish rapidly. God is the only person who can be everywhere at the same time. He is the only person who knows everything. This is why He is the only person who can identify all the relevant scenarios for any given situation.

The NLT translation of Pro 16:1 states: We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. If you are seeking the right answer or the right outcome you must learn to commit your plans, tasks and projects into the hands of God. You must allow God to lead you into the right solutions.

Today make a decision to turn over everything that you are responsible and accountable for into the hands of God and watch Him turn everything that you do into a success. ...another excerpt from my latest book.

What is Leadership?

A lot of people confuse leadership with titles. A title does not confer leadership on anyone. Many of the greatest leaders who have ever lived started leading others before they ever got a title. The greatest leader of all, Jesus did not have a formal title. He did not introduce Himself as Pastor, Reverend, Prophet, etc. You can be a leader at any level in any organization. The true measure of leadership is the ability to influence.

Leadership is akin to the navigation system in many cars that surveys the land and considers various options before deciding on a route. The navigation system seeks to influence the driver it does not dominate the driver and force him in a particular direction. The best navigation systems also consider potential obstacles and sources of delay (e.g. traffic), and they navigate around these. They are constantly calculating the best route. Even when the driver strays off the pre-determined route they do not halt the car suddenly rather they re-calculate the route and proceed to get the driver back on track. This is one of the best illustrations of leadership. ...an excerpt from my latest book.

Life of God

Jn 10:10.

Jesus said that He came to impart the life of God in us; not just in small measure but in an a unlimited measure. He wants us to be full of the life of God to the point of overflow.

We get a measure of this life at new birth. We must continue to cultivate this life by exposing ourselves to right materials, staying in the presence of God, etc. This life must overflow to the point that it is affecting everything around you.

The Power of God

Eph 3:20.

God is able to do much more than we can think or imagine through His power working in us. That power is resident in us through the Holy Spirit. We must engage the Holy Spirit and in so doing the power of God is maximized.

Citizen of the Kingdom

Rom 3:21-31.

Eph 2:12...in the fallen state you were aliens to the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenant of promise. Fallen man has no citizenship and no legal right.

As a foreign national there is less confidence at border immigration and customs than a citizen. However as a citizen of the USA if you don't know your rights then you will have the same level of confidence as an immigrant.

Gal 4:1.
If you don't know your rights then you are like a baby who doesn't yet qualify for his inheritance; he is no different than a servant in this regard.

If you have a revelation of who you are are and your rights as a child of God then you will walk in dominion.

"You are more than a conqueror" will become a reality to you irrespective of what you face.

You must act in boldness based on your status as the righteous. You have God living on your inside with access to all of His power and ability.

Patience and Endurance

Heb 10:36.

The word patience/endurance is from the Greek: ὑπομονή* which means to wait on God, to cleave to God, to stand fast, expect, persevere, etc. it speaks of the capacity to continue to bear up under difficult circumstances, "waiting endurance," or "enduring perseverance" (JFB), and endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

I must be patient to obtain the promise of God after doing His will.
There is a time gap between when I have done what God instructed and when I receive the reward. Patience is active, and bridges that gap no matter how small or large.

Supernatural Victories

Rom 8:6.

If you are God-inside minded and conscious of the life of God inside you then it will reflect is your words and actions. There will be no room for carnality.

When you are carnally minded then your results will tend to death, corruption and in the direction of the curse. This is why many lives appear to be stagnant devoid of progress.

God intended that you and I live in victory every day of our lives.

Sudden and Immediate Manifestation of God

Acts 16:25-26.

There are situations that require the sudden and immediate manifestation of God's power.

The power of God was brought to bear in Paul and Silas' situation in response to their praise and worship of God, and their expectations. They chose to praise and worship in the face of a seemingly impossible situation.
When God's presence fills you and your environment up nothing can contain it. The foundations of the issues will be shaken up suddenly. And immediately great doors will be opened and all of the things holding you down/chained will be loosed. All by the supernatural power that accompanies His presence.

Supernatural Living

Psa 82:6.

God created man in His own image. Man was created with the creative power of God to function by this supernatural power of God. Just like a child resembles his father likewise as children of God we resemble God.
You must live a supernatural life. It is your heritage.

A Lifestyle of Worship

Worship is a frequently practiced activity. The Bible lets me know that you and I were created for the purpose of worshiping God. You see it was always God's intention that man should live through worshiping Him.

Worship is more than just songs; worship is a lifestyle; a lifestyle continually submitted to God. The dictionary defines worship as 'adoring and reverent honor, and homage paid to God'. God's desire is that you adore Him, honor Him and pay homage to Him continually.

Worship is laying aside your life and bowing your desires down to God so that His will can be done in your life. Your seed, service, dressing, speech, actions, etc. can be acts of worship to God.

Worship does not change God. Rather worship benefits the worshiper. God promises in His word that if you dedicate your life to worshiping Him, He will promote you.

1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV)
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Exodus 8:1 (NKJV)
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

God does not just desire any type of worship, He desires sincere worship. There are numerous conditions that are necessary for true worship. In this article I will address 3 of these things.

3 Things that must be Present for true Worship
1. State of your heart.
The state of your heart is important for true worship. Your heart must be set on the love of God. You must have a revelation of God's love in order to truly worship Him. This revelation will cause you to love Him in return. And when you love God, you will desire to worship Him sincerely.

Matthew 22:37 (NKJV)
37 Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

2. Reverence.
Hebrews 12:28 (NKJV)
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Serve as it is used in the scripture above is from the Greek word 'latreuō' which means worship. In this scripture the Bible specifically qualifies your worship with the words reverence and godly fear. This is not a reference to fear as we commonly define it but rather it is a reference to deep respect. There can be no sincere worship of God without a deep respect of Him.

Your reverence for God is borne out of a revelation of who God is to you.
Who is He to you? Who has He been to you? Has He healed you? Has He delivered you? Has His presence is your life resulted in peace? God has been all these to us. The least we can do is to acknowledge Him through our worship.

3. Consecration.
You must be consecrated to God in order to truly worship Him.

John 4:24 (NKJV)
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

God wants your whole life: spirit, soul & body, to be consecrated to Him in worship. You cannot do this unless you are consecrated to God.

Matthew 4:8-10 (NKJV)
8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

Jesus illustrated consecration to us. He was consecrated to God and laid down his flesh in order to accomplish His God-given assignment. This was an act of worship.

In order to really worship God you must be committed to a life of worship. There cannot be true worship until the state of your heart is right, you have a deep respect for God, and you are consecrated to Him.

This is not meant to be an exhaustive article on worship. Rather it is meant to start you on the path to discovery on the topic of worship. I trust that you have been stirred up in the area of worshiping God. I believe that as you commit yourselves to a life of worship, God will show up on your behalf like never before.
