Let your actions glorify God

1 Cor 6:20.
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

God paid a significant price to redeem you from sin and death. The word redeemed means to buy back. You see although the gift of salvation was free to you, it actually came at a price to God. His Son Jesus was sacrificed for our sake. Jesus took the human form of man, carried all of humanity's sins, sicknesses, poverty, etc. and was separated from God for 3 days. Even though He did not sin, He had to take on humanity's sin in order to be in a position to die in humanity's place.

Friend now you are joined with Christ and seated in heavenly places with Him. There is no longer any reason to live a defeated life. Every victory that is yours was already paid for. Jesus paid the price so that you can live the life that God created you for. You must be committed to glorifying God in your body and spirit. Let your actions reflect God. Let people see the image of Christ in and through you. You are a light unto your generation.

Nothing can defeat you

Friend, how do you respond when you are faced with major challenges? Do you cower down in defeat or do you rise up to face the challenge based on your faith in the Word? D you have a revelation of what the Word says about your victory?

You see your victory in life was secured by the blood of Jesus - Rev 12:11. Your faith in Jesus and the power of the blood, and your perseverance in the face of challenging situations together ensure that you walk in the reality of your victory.

There is no longer any need to retreat and surrender. The enemy was already defeated. That defeat was not just for the moment it was an everlasting defeat. That defeat over 2000 years which came about via the sacrifice of Jesus covers you and the generations to come. So take your place now in the row of champions. Shout for joy in the face of any situation. You are already victorious.

You have overcome by the victory of Jesus

Thank God for the free gift of salvation. Although this gift was free to you and I, the cost to God was priceless. God chose to redeem us not by natural means which will eventually decay, but by the sacrificing His Son - 1 Pe 1:18-19. Jesus was tempted in all ways but found to be without sin - Heb 4:15. Therefore His blood that was shed was spotless, pure and perfect. This what what was needed to take care of all of the sins of humanity.

God made this sacrifice so that you and I can live in dominion as He originally intended - Gen 1:26-28. God restored us back into right standing with Him through the sacrifice of Jesus. Now we are free from every bondage of sin, sickness and lack. Friend you don't have to live in condemnation or guilt any longer. The blood of Jesus took care of it all. If you make a mistake, confess your sins right there and move on. As you develop in your relationship with God and spend time in the Word, you will be empowered to walk in the manifestation of your victory over that sin. Remember you are an overcomer - 1 Jn 5:4.

You are called to a higher life

You are an ambassador of Christ - 2 Cor 5:20. An ambassador is one who represents one nation in front of another. An ambassador is empowered by his/her home nation to stand on behalf of the home nation. An ambassador has diplomatic immunity and is subject to the laws of the home nation and not the host nation. Likewise the embassy, where the ambassador resides, is subject to the laws of the home nation and not the laws of the host nation. The embassy is considered to be an extension of the home nation.

As an ambassador of Christ you have similar attributes. You are only subject to the laws and the economy of the Kingdom of God. While you abide by the laws of nation in which you reside, you are not subject to the issues of the world. God has called you to a higher life. You must elevate your mind and attitude in order to live this higher life. Your success has been determined by God. Don't let anyone or any circumstance tell you otherwise.

Victory is Yours

As a child of God, you were made righteous by faith - Rom 5:1. You exercised your faith in accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. Therefore it was by faith that your status got changed. You are no longer condemned but now you have a right standing with God; you have the right to approach God with boldness without fear or condemnation. This is what it means to be righteous.

This change in status was possible because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Jesus became our sins, He died and was locked up in hell for 3 days. Every sin that had been committed and was to be committed in the future was taken care of. Thank God that on the 3rd day, after He had satisfied the claims of justice, He rose up victorious over the powers of the enemy. That victory is ours by virtue of our identification with Jesus. Friend you are already victorious; you must continuously walk in the consciousness of that victory.

Let Go of Your Past

According to 2 Co 5:17 if you are in Christ Jesus, you are a new creation; old things have passed away and all things have become new. This scripture refers to the rebirth that occurs once you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. You see God did not refurbish your spirit. Rather he gave you brand new spirit at the point of new birth. Your new spirit is united with Christ, it is one with Christ. As a result of this union with Christ, your new spirit is superior to your old spirit. Afterall you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus - Eph 2:6.

Your superior positioning comes with various benefits including the restoration of the blessing and your dominion. Another benefit of your new position is that the process of rebirth resulted in all the claims against you being wiped away. God essentially wiped away all your sins. This is what the phrase 'all things have become new' refers to. You have been given a clean slate. In God it is as though all the sins you committed before you became born again did not exist.

However for you to truly live in the manifestation of the freedom which you have now be given, you must let go of the past. You can learn from the mistakes of the past but you must not focus on the past. God made all things new so that you can be free of the past as you position yourself for your glorious future. Friend don't be limited by your past, rather invest today for your outstanding future. Your world is awaiting your manifestation - Rom 8:19.

You are in an elevated position

By virtue of your identification with Jesus and accepting Him as your Lord and Savior your status changed. You went from being a sinner to being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

According to Eph 2:6 you are seated far above principalities and powers, and all rulers of darkness because you are now seated in heavenly places "in" Christ Jesus. The Bible says that you and Christ are one; He is the head and you are the body. So wherever He is present, you are there. Likewise He is present wherever you are located.

Friend don't allow yourself to be pulled down any longer. Your status as a child of God means that you have a high position. You are called and empowered for dominion. However you must have a revelation of this status so that you can walk in it. Stay seated with Christ and walk in the authority and power that comes with that position.

You have already won

There is no doubt about the victory that Jesus won over the enemy. Col 2:15 says that Jesus disarmed the enemy and made a public spectacle of the enemy's camp; He triumphed over the enemy. As a result of this victory the enemy no longer has any hold over a child of God. Jesus' victory is your victory.
Friend, the enemy has been dethroned. He has lost the battle. There's no need to live a defeated life any longer. Rise up and take your rightful place as a victor. No matter what you may be going through now remember that you are already and overcomer. Stand on God's Word and enforce your covenant rights today.

Your freedom is a reality

Thank God that you are no longer under the dispensation of the law. By virtue of the sacrifice and victory of Jesus sin is no longer your master once you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. At that point you have been translated from the requirements of the law to the freedom of grace.

Friend you have been set free. You no longer have to live in fear of sin. Rather approach every sinful condition with confidence based on God's word that sin has no dominion over you - Rom 6:14. Once you became born again you lost your status as a sinner.

You are now a child of God empowered to live above sin. You may stumble from time to time but this doesn't change your eternal status. Rather dust yourself off and try again. As you apply the word of God in that situation and keep pressing in you will overcome that sin. Your freedom is a reality; walk in it.

You must not give up

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."
Gen 3:15

When man committed the first sin, God was not left stranded. God had already put a plan in place before the beginning of time for man's redemption. Eph 1:3-5. God was not confused in the face of man's betrayal. God did not give up in the face of the mistake by His most precious creation. When the original plan did not work because of man's transgression God was not depressed.

This is a word for someone out there. Whatever God has said about you or whatever He has called you to do does not have to be cut short. Irrespective of where you are right now, the setbacks you may have suffered on the journey or the mistakes you have made so far, God's purpose for your life remains the same. As a child of God you can never lose hope. God still intends for you to be all that you were created to be. His plan for you has not changed.

As you face the rest of 2013 I want to encourage you to go back to what God has called you to do; go back to the places you may failed at in the past. We are made in the image and likeness of God. Gen 1:26. Just as God demonstrated in Gen 3:15, stay committed to the plan and walk with God into the fullness of His plans and purposes. God loves you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Arise and be who you were called to be.

I look forward to hearing about your victories as you walk with God and go back to places of previous defeats.

Focus in Your Assignment

In 2 Co 6:17, God declares that He wants His people to separate themselves from the people and things of the world. God wants you to be distinct from the world. You are called to reach the world and not to blend with the world. Apostle Paul warns the church not to be wrongly connected and associated - 2 Co 6:14.

You are the light of the world - Mt 5:14. You are called to make a difference in your environment - Gen 1:28. Your light is not meant to be covered - Mt 5:15. In order for your light to shine then you must associate rightly separate yourself unto your assignment. Abraham was separated for his assignment - Gen 12:2. Paul and Barnabas were separated for the call of God upon their lives - Acts 13:2. Stephen and Phillip were among the seven men separated to be deacons - Acts 6:3.

Your assignment is so important that you must guard it appropriately. Don't compromise your assignment. Separate yourself and accomplish your assignment.

You are a person of significance

God selected you before the foundation of the world. He picked and identified you as His own but you must do your part by in turn identifying with Jesus and His victory over the enemy. All of the benefits of being identified and selected by God can only be secured by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

When God selected you, He did so with a purpose in mind. He created you to accomplish something. He designed you to carry a solution that your generation needs. Before you were formed He knew everything about you - Jer 1:5. That should be a source of encouragement because this means that irrespective of what you have gone through or are going through, you are important. You are so important to your generation that God had to send you now.

Friend don't allow anyone talk you down or belittle you. Your destiny is secured. You are a person of significance. You came with something that your generation needs. Get busy discovering your purpose in God, developing yourself so that you can deeply yourself. Then you will fulfill your God-given mandate to be fruitful, multiply, subdue, replenish and walk in dominion - Gen 1:28.

Walk in Total Victory

You became a child of God once you identified with Christ and His victory over the enemy. John describes this by saying, "you are from God" - 1 Jn 4:4. He goes on to say in this scripture that you have overcome the enemy and his agents because as a child of God you have the Holy Spirit living in the inside of you.

The fact that you have God Spirit's on your inside means that you already have the capacity to overcome in any situation. However you must learn how to engage the Holy Spirit. This starts by acknowledging His presence and power. Then you must develop a relationship and stay in fellowship with Him. So that when you face those situations you are conscious of His presence and His promptings.

In order to develop a relationship and stay in fellowship with God's Spirit you must spend time in God's presence during your prayer, mediation and thanksgiving time. As you spend time in God's presence learn to be sensitive to His voice and direction. As you follow His direction in every area of your life you will walk in total victory.

Pay the price for your future

Elisha was willing to go the extra mile - 2 Ki 2:6. Even when Elijah asked him to stay behind he refused. You will have to do your part and fight in order to secure what God has set aside for you. There is no such thing as just waiting for it to fall into your laps.

Fulfilling your purpose will cost you something. You must be willing to pay the price to become who you were called to be. Elisha paid the price. It was eventually recorded that he received a double portion of the anointing on Elijah's life and went on to do great things for God. What will your story be? Pay the price now to secure a glorious future.
